1969 Plymouth Road Runner
In its second year debut with lots of sales success the 1969 Road Runner was offered with an array of new options and the big news was the addition of a convertible to join the hardtop and pillared coupe series. With new colored Road Runner decals and optional front bucket seats the ’69 Road Runner was optioned with an array of power plant V8 engines for its Mopar fans. Joining the existing 383 and 426 engines was a choice of 440 V8s, including a four barrel rated at 375 hp, and a triple-two barrel 440 V8, known as the "440 + 6 which provided Hemi-like acceleration for about half the price. Included with the 440+6 engine were simple, black wheels, a flat black fiberglass lift-off hood, and a functional hood scoop.
